YOUNGSTOWN -- Mahoning County Commissioners today approved a budget of just over $50 million for 2013.
The commissioners got that figure after receiving requests from department heads totaling more than $62.5 million. The county budget commission has certified that $50 million will be available in 2013.
For 2012, commissioners passed a budget of around $50 million. Total spending will be around $54 million after the budget commission recertified extra revenue.
