CORTLAND - Myrtle Elizabeth Joseph, 90, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
Myrtle was born July 21, 1922, in Charlestown, the daughter of Floyd and Audrey Bradfield Phillips.
She was homemaker and was of the Christian faith.

Mrs. Joseph is survived by her son, William (Norma) Davis of Niles; three stepchildren, Patty, Jack and Gary Joseph; three grandchildren, Floyd Davis, Theresa Davis and Arretta Soto; six great-grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three sisters, Margaret (George) Clay of Niles, Marjorie (Doug) King of Cortland and Barbara (Rev. Dan) McCarthy of Millport, N.Y.; and her brother, Donald Phillips of Cortland.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, William Joseph, whom she married on March 18, 1958, and who passed away on April 6, 1986; her son, Larry Davis; four brothers, Arthur "Pete," Ralph, Ray and Charles Phillips; and by two sisters, Jean Goss and Gladys Allen.
Myrtle's brother-in-law, the Rev. Dan McCarthy, will conduct funeral services beginning at noon on Tuesday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel, 164 High St., Cortland. Friends may call one hour prior to the start of services.
Burial will follow at Dugan Cemetery.
