WARREN The man shot in the face Wednesday evening has been identified as Craig Hoffman, 34, of Larchmont Avenue N.E. The shooting was not the result of a carjacking, has Hoffman originally told police.
Police this morning said Hoffman was shot as the result of a drug deal gone bad.
Hoffman was shot at Draper Street and Benton Avenue on the southeast side about 7:50 p.m. and tried to drive himself to the hospital. He was found by police and taken to Trumbull Memorial Hospital and later flown to Metro Health hospital in Cleveland.
