WARREN -- The man who tried to drive himself to the hospital after being shot in the face Wednesday evening has been flown to Cleveland Metro Health medical center.
The man was shot near the intersection of Draper and Benton streets on the southeast side. Police and an ambulance caught him at Niles Road and South Street and rushed him to Trumbull Memorial Hospital from there.
The man told police he was being carjacked when he was shot.
While the man was in Trumbull Memorial, Police Lt. Martin Gargas said he was ``fighting for life.''
