Judith R. Brem 1942-2012

HOWLAND - Judith R. Brem, 70, died peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at her daughter's home in Tampa, Fla., after a 12-year battle with cancer.

She was born Jan. 13, 1942, in Warren, the daughter of Lee B. and Dorothy Dahringer Yoxtheimer.

Judy retired in 2009 as the director of volunteers for Hospice of Trumbull County. She was a graduate of Ohio University and a member of First Baptist Church of Warren. While visiting Florida, she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Quinn, and taking her to the zoo.

Loving memories will be carried on by her family, including her daughters, Kiersten Cox of Tampa, Fla., and Kara (Fred) Cervelli of Madison; sons, John (Stacy) Cox of Scottsboro, Ala., Ben (Traci) Cox of Greenville, S.C., and Neil (Beverly) Brem of Pittsburgh; brothers, Tim L. Yoxtheimer of Ellensburgh, Wash., and John D. Yoxtheimer of Alexandria, Va., and 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Brem, on Feb. 16, 2005.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with Dr. Walter Carvin officiating. Committal and interment will be at Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.
