Rebecca L. Moore 1949-2012

NEWTON FALLS - Rebecca L. "Becky" Moore, 63, 4982 Shanks Phalanx Road, departed this life at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born Feb. 13, 1949, in Warren, the daughter of Paul Stewart and Evelyn Swarts Moore, and residing in the area for 30 years.

A 1967 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Mrs. Moore was the owner and operator of Moore's Janitorial Service and Becky's Blind Cleaning Service for 31 years. She also worked at St. Joseph Riverside Hospital as a surgery secretary.

She was a charter member of New Freedom Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as treasurer and trustee. She enjoyed reading and cooking.

She leaves to mourn two stepdaughters, Kimberly (Sterling) Williams of Howland and Tanya (Harry) Epps-Mayo of Dayton; one sister, Susan M. Lough of Newton Falls; two grandchildren, Tyler B. Williams and Lauren A. Williams, both of Howland; one nephew, Daniel (Dawn) Lough of Warren; two nieces, Brenda C. Lough of Newton Falls and Patricia Hufford of Tampa, Fla.; one great-niece, Ashley Wadsworth of Girard; and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred Moore, whom she married Sept. 1, 1977, and passed away Aug. 7, 2006; and one brother, Daniel Stewart Moore.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at New Freedom Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.

Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
