WARREN - Bernard J Diehl, 69, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 4, 1943, in Curwensville, Pa., the son of the late Raymond V. Diehl and the late Dorothy Hannah Baer Diehl.
Bernard was a graduate of Curwensville High School and employed as a tool and die engineer at Packard Electric.

He was an active member at First Assembly of God for 36 years, where he was a deacon and sang in the choir. He was also a Warren Christian School Committee member and a Royal Ranger Commander.
Bernard was an original member of the Warren Western Reserve Quarterback Club and was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved NASCAR racing and rooted for Jeff Gordon.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Billock Diehl of Warren, whom he married June 17, 1967; sons, the Rev. Eric J. (Mary) Diehl of Englewood, Fla., Kirk A. (Dr. Abigail G.) Diehl of Lemont, Pa., and Todd A. (Ashley L.) Diehl of Boardman; sisters, Beverly Amon of Frenchville, Pa., and Ann Leach of Lutherburg, Pa.; and grandchildren, Noah J., Hannah G., Madeline G., Krista N., Nathaniel R., Micah J. and Aubrey L.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Raymond Diehl, Albert Diehl, George Diehl, Donald Diehl, Kenneth Diehl and William Diehl; sisters, Mary Brighman and Helen Bloss; half brothers, Seymor Diehl and Omar Diehl; and a half sister, June Diehl.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God, where Pastor Derek Boivin will officiate. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Interment will be at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
The family requests that material contributions be made to First Assembly of God Church in Care of The Lord's Table, 2640 Parkman Road, Warren, OH 44485, in his memory.
