Ruth Foster 1921-2012

WARREN - Ruth Foster, 91, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at her sister's home.

She was born Nov. 12, 1921, in Keyser, W.Va., the daughter of the late Elmer H. Bitner and the late Mabel Goldsworthy Bitner.

She was employed as a secretary at Union Savings and Trust Co. for 40 years. Ruth was a member of Howland Community Church, where she was the financial secretary for 25 years. She was a member of the Cross Trailers Square Dance Club and volunteered at the Red Cross and Mobile Meals.

She is survived by her sister, Margaret Foster of Warren, and a grandson, Stephen A. Foster of Warren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl J. Foster, whom she married April 17, 1947; a son, Mark Foster; a daughter-in-law, Nadine Foster; a brother, Elmer James Bitner; and a sister, Eleanor Daum.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crown Hill Burial Park, where the Rev. Dr. Brian Byrne will officiate.

Interment will be at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Northeast Ohio in her memory.
