Mary Louise Young 1926-2012

WARREN - Mary Louise Young, 86, passed away Sunday afternoon, Nov. 25, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family after a short illness.

She was born April 18, 1926, in Warren, the daughter of the late Lucio and Philomena Delmutti Rufo. She was a lifelong Warren area resident.

Mary Louise was a 1944 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, where she was a majorette. She was a homemaker for most of her married life, but worked for several years at Jack Young's Market on Perkinswood S.E. in Warren.

Mary Louise was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Robert L. Young Sr., whom she married Nov. 5, 1951; two daughters, Jeanne Killen of Warren and Jackie (Dan) Weston of Howland; one son, Bob L. (Pam) Young Jr. of Mecca Township; four grandchildren, Elliot and Taylor Killen, Cole Weston and Elizabeth Young; and one brother, Raymond Rufo of Pennsylvania. Survivors also include many nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Four brothers, Sandy, Albert, Gilbert and Leonard Rufo, and two sisters, Angie Gardner and Mary Young, all preceded her in death.

The family thanks Candace Swindler, who provided compassionate and loving care in the last few months of Mary Louise's life.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Church in Warren, with the Rev. Bernard Schmalzried celebrating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Restoration Fund at St. Mary's Church, 301 High St. N.E., Warren, OH 44481, or to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512.
