HOWLAND 51, MADISON 21: HOWLAND - Howland could only muster 10 second-half points in a blowout loss to Madison on Saturday.
Gabby Cvengros paced the Tigers with seven points. Howland scored one point in the fourth quarter and committed 23 turnovers overall.
Taylor Bland scored a game-high 20 for Madison, nearly matching Howland's team total. She also had seven rebounds.
CANFIELD 65, MARLINGTON 40: CANFIELD - Sabrina Mangapora, who signed a letter of intent earlier this week to play volleyball at Ball State, scored a game-high 25 points to surpass 1,000 in her career to lead Canfield.
Mangapora now has 1,014 career points. Abby Baker added 12 points and Kayla Barko had 10 for the Cardinals, who led 34-18 at halftime and cruised to the win.
Ali Rodgers led Marlington with 21 points and Sierra Mayle added 10.
PYMATUNING VALLEY 56, YOUNGSTOWN CHRISTIAN 32: ANDOVER - Geena Gabriel had a near triple double with 10 rebounds, nine assists and eight steals as Pymatuning Valley routed Youngstown Christian.
The Lakers ended the first quarter with a 10-0 run and extended to a 20-6 lead as Youngstown Christian never got closer than 11 points.
Heather Brant led PV with 12 points, Michealia Skleres had 11 and Kelsea Brown chipped in 10.
Shanell Harris led the Eagles with 10 points.
GRAND VALLEY 47, BROOKSIDE 25: ORWELL - Grand Valley only led 16-14 at halftime, but the Mustangs outscored Brookside 31-11 in the final two quarters to win their opener.
Jessica Vormelker and Chris Futty each scored 11 points to lead Grand Valley, while Kelly Preske chipped in 10.
Erika Elias scored 11 to pace Brookside and Kylie Bishop added six.
STREETSBORO 42, GARFIELD 31: GARRETTSVILLE - Garfield trailed 37-18 through three quarters before making a slight comeback in the fourth.
Jackie Tabor led the G-Men with 13 points and Melody Bright added eight.
Mikaela Dunbrowski paced Streetsboro with 13 points. Maria Woods put in 10.
GENEVA 54, LAKEVIEW 41: GENEVA - Lakeview trailed 19-8 through the first quarter and could never get in the game.
Allie Pavlik led the Bulldogs with a game-high 21 points, but the rest of the team could only manage a total of 20. Marissa Naples added seven points.
Becky Depp and Natalie Thomas each had 12 points to pace Geneva.
