MESOPOTAMIA - Ruth Sewall Parmelee passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, after a brief illness.
She was a graduate and formerly a professor of piano at Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa.
Prior to her retirement, she taught music and choir in the Shaker Heights and Chagrin Falls school districts.

Ruth was formerly listed in Who's Who of American Music, was a member of the American Guild of Organists and a pianist in the Fred Waring Orchestra.
She is survived by her son, Richard of Cleveland, and her daughter, Kathryn of Belmont, Mass.
She was preceded in passing by her husband, Robert.
There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m Saturday at Mesopotamia United Methodist Church.
Donations to the Mesopotamia Volunteer Fire Department are suggested in lieu of flowers.
Arrangements were handled by Smith Funeral Home.
