LIBERTY Grief counselors and the Trumbull County Crisis Response Team will be available at Liberty High School Monday morning, where student Brianna Murray collapsed and died on Friday.
Murray's family believes she died of heart complications, according to Tribune Chronicle newspartner WYTV 33 News. She suffered from a heart condition, according to the report.
Eyewitnesses told the Tribune Chronicle that the senior collapsed about 2:45 p.m. Friday outside the high school. School employees performed CPR as well as used a defibrillator, witnesses said. She was taken by ambulance to Northside Medical Center.
"The school community is in mourning over the loss of one of our own," Schools Superintendent Stan Watson said.
"It's a sad and tragic event and it's really hard to make sense of at this point. Our thoughts and prayers go to the family," Watson said in a statement.
