Eyewitnesses told the Tribune Chronicle that the female student, who was a senior, was being attended to by emergency personnel and school employees. She was taken to Northside Medical Center.
School employees performed CPR on the student, and later another school employee tried to use a defibrillator in attempts to revive her, according to eyewitnesses. She collapsed at about 2:45 p.m.

Calls to Liberty police Chief Richard Tisone and Superintendent Stan Watson were not returned Friday evening. A spokesman for the fire department would only say that firefighters responded to a medical emergency at the high school and transported a person to the hospital.
