WARREN - Thomas Edward Bohyer, 81, died peacefully Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Gillette Nursing Home.
He was born April 28, 1931, in Warren, the son of Earl and Cora Evans Bohyer.
He retired from Packard Electric, a division of GM, in 1991 after 43 years of service. He was a former member of Second Christian Church and became a member of Champion Christian Church.

He was an avid sports fan and was named to the 1957 All World Softball Team while playing for Packard Electric. He also played for Warren G. Harding High in 1948 on the only baseball team that made the Ohio State Tournament.
Surviving are his wife, Frances, whom he married Nov. 11, 1950; two sons; Thomas (Celeste) Bohyer and James Bohyer; two daughters, Kathleen (Bob) Koehn and Susanna (companion Scott Yurcisin) Bohyer; grandchildren, Kelly (Ron) Longstreth, Staff Sgt. Brian (Melissa) Koehn, Scott (Teresa) Bohyer, Matthew Bohyer, Bo (Rebecca) Koehn, Aaron (Marissa) Bohyer, Craig (Nicole) Bohyer and Kyle Grammatas; and great-grandchildren, MacKenzie, Madison, Breonna, Makayla, Chloe, Kendall, Avery, Jake and Madeline.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Bohyer and Gene Bohyer; and sisters, Vera Chamberlain and Eleanor Ringler.
Friends and family may gather from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Hopkins of Champion Christian Church officiating.
Inurnment will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Park.
