WEST FARMINGTON - Forrest "Bernie" Woods Jr., 65, passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, after a long illness that he fought against so very courageously. His loving wife, Anna, was by his side.
Bernie was born Dec. 4, 1946, in Warren, the son of Forrest "Red" and Shirley Bailey Woods.
He retired from Packard Delphi after 32 years of service.

Bernie enjoyed hunting, golfing and spending time with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Woods of West Farmington, whom he married Aug. 14, 1965; his children, Laura Harrison of Georgia, Lisa Meyers of Southington and Joe (Kristin) Woods of Bristolville; his grandchildren, Haley Harrison, Brad and Jessica Meyers, and Ben and Katelyn Woods; a brother, Charles (Sharon) Woods; and many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date, officiated by the Rev. Bob Brown.
Bernie will be sadly missed and deeply loved by his family. We will miss his wonderful sense of humor, laughter and unconditional love.
