SHARON, Pa. - Eugene "Gene" Itzen, 91, formerly of Lincoln St., died at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at John XXII Home in Hermitage, Pa., after an extended illness.
Mr. Itzen was born May 25, 1921, in Wyckoff, N.J., the son of Charles and Eliza Jane Teller Itzen.
He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. Gene worked for Sharon Steel's former Farrell plant and was a member of the Masury United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Gilliam of Cortland, three grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Faber, three sisters and two brothers.
Family and friends may call from noon to 1 p.m.Saturday at J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. in Sharon, Pa.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage, Pa.
