Senior soccer all-star game set for Sunday

The best high school soccer players in the area will be on the same field at the same time during the annual Youngstown District Scholastic Soccer Coaches Associations Senior All-Star Game, which will be played Sunday, Nov. 18 at Mollenkopf Stadium in Warren.

The game will feature red teams vs. white teams (girls) and blue teams vs. white teams (boys). The boys games will be played at 10 a.m. and noon, while the girls will be at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.

The boys white team, which will play at noon, features five players from Cardinal Mooney - Dominic Dimuzio, Pat Price, Michael Koken, Michael Trefethern and Byron Abrigg, while there are four players each from Austintown Fitch (Kyle Kosco, Keanu Shelton, Corey Spencer and Kenneth Kilpatrick) and Badger (Ben Meardith, Jason Lipps, Kevin Casey and Taylor Matson).

The boys blue team that will be coached by Joshua MacMillan of Niles and plays at 10 a.m. has 15 of its 17 players from Trumbull County. Among those players are five from Warren G. Harding (Rahem Javier Smith, Ja'Lyn Smith, Danyo McGhee, Dominic Milano-Jones and Charles Wargo).

On the girls' side, the red team that plays at 1:30 and will be coached by Howland's Joe Megyesi will have 13 of its 17 players from Trumbull County. Lakeview (Casey Boldt, Sierra Leveto and Emily Yocum) and Harding (Anastashia Garrison, Allison Hernandez and Jackie Callow) lead with three players each.
