WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - Matina Triant, 84, passed Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012.
She was born Jan. 30, 1928, in Chios, Greece.
Matina was the founder and owner of Matina's Boutiques located in Florida and Ohio.

She was the devoted mother of Demetrios (Dona) Elias, Tasos (Angie) Elias, Maria (Paul) Golias, George (Selma) Triant, and was predeceased by her daughter, Eleni. She was the beloved sister of Yiannis Sitaras, Harry Sitaras and the late Nicholas Sitaras; loving YiaYia of Nick, Paulie, Dino, Jimmy, Matina, Daphne, Eleni, John, Demetri, Luca, Stefano, Richard, Angelo and Victor; and cherished great-grandmother of Gloria, Irene and Salvatore.
Matina, known to many as "Mama," loved being surrounded by family and friends, enjoyed traveling and was high spirited and full of life.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Barrett Funeral Home, 148 Dean Drive, Tenafly, N.J. Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. John the Theologian Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Tenafly, N.J.
