Traffic backed up after I-680 crash
YOUNGSTOWN - Traffic was backed up for several hours Sunday night after a crash on Interstate 680 southbound, south of South Avenue, city police reported.
Details about the crash were not available Sunday night. Witnesses said at least two ambulances were dispatched.
Youngstown police asked motorists to avoid that area Sunday night.
Tribune editors heading to Weathersfield
WEATHERSFIELD - The next stop in a yearlong series of gatherings to allow the public to meet the editors of the Tribune Chronicle is scheduled for 6 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Weathersfield Administration Building, 1451 Prospect St.
Readers from all communities are invited to attend and ask questions and make suggestions.

Man in jail over fatal hit-and-run accident
SALEM - Police reported Sunday that a Washingtonville man accused of being the driver in a hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of a 9-year-old girl in Salem is in jail.
Todd Roberts, 27, of Washingtonville, will be arraigned in Columbiana County Municipal Court, and the case likely will be forwarded to a grand jury for consideration.
Roberts is accused of hitting Olivia Thompson, 9, about 9 p.m. Friday while she was crossing East State Street near Lundy Avenue with a friend, then driving away. Thompson died Saturday morning in Akron Children's Hospital.
Police impounded a 1998 Chevy S-10 pickup truck they say Roberts was driving.
Lordstown neighbors hope for better leases
LORDSTOWN - A group of more than 30 landowners who collectively own more than 5,000 acres of property have formed the Lordstown Regional Landowners Group in the hopes of renegotiating decades-old mineral rights leases.
"As a group, we can negotiate more effectively and more efficiently for the best terms," Michael Hodak, president of the LRLG, said Sunday. "We are looking forward to working with Halcon to develop a mutually agreeable arrangement as soon as possible."
In August, Houston-based Halcon paid NCL Appalachian Partners $194 million for Utica Shale drilling rights on 31,000 acres around Lordstown. Most of the reassigned leases were originally signed 20 to 50 years ago, Hodak said.
Now that Halcon wants to drill deeper wells into the Utica Shale, its representatives have been asking landowners for amendments to their leases, he said.
The group will hold an enrollment and informational meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the United Auto Workers Local 1714 Union Hall, 2121 Salt Springs Road.
