HARTFORD - Margaret "Peg" Irene Baker, 66, of Custer Orangeville Road, passed away peacefully at 8:25 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Allegheny General Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born Dec. 15, 1945, in Sharon, Pa., the daughter of John and Helen Gillespie Burbach, and was a lifelong area resident.
She graduated in 1963 from Joseph Badger High School, Kinsman.

Mrs. Baker was employed by La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, Howland, where she had worked as an interior design specialist. She previously worked in the same capacity for Bolotin Furniture in Hermitage, Pa., for more than 15 years.
At one time, she owned the former Take a Gander Shoppe in Hartford, a specialty craft consignment store. Peg had an eye for design, and, in years past, she taught students the art of interior design at Penn State Shenango Valley Campus, Sharon, Pa. She also loved gardening and tending to her flowers that adorned her home.
In her early years, she was active with 4-H and enjoyed riding and showing quarter horses.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who found her greatest joy while spending time with all her kids. Her greatest passion was traveling and shopping for her grandchildren.
Her husband Earl "Terry" Baker, whom she married Nov. 2, 1963, survives at home. She also leaves her daughter, Karyn B. (Rob) Hilden of Venetia, Pa., (a suburb of Pittsburgh), son, Christopher P. (Lisa) Baker of Hartford; five grandchildren, Julia and Brooke Hilden and Olivia, Jacob and Maria Baker; and two brothers, Paul (Maureen) Burbach of Edgewater, Md., and Harold (Becky) Burbach of Charlottesville, Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Susan Francis, pastor of Kinsman Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Interment is private.
