Kenneth E. Gross 1949-2012

LAKE MILTON Kenneth E. Gross, 63, passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.

Ken was born Feb. 28, 1949, in Warren, the son of Edward and Mildred Parsons Gross.

He retired from General Motors Lordstown Plant in 1998 as a member of the skilled trades.

Ken attended both Youngstown State and Kent State universities and was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam.

He was a 32nd-degree member of the Masons, the Scottish Rite. He was also a member and benefactor of NRA, a VFW member, as well as a member of the Lowellville Rod and Gun Club, the Vienna Fish and Game, and the Coon Hunters Club. Among other things, Ken enjoyed target shooting.

Ken leaves his wife, the former Terri Gilliam, whom he married May 21, 2012. He also leaves a daughter, Lori (Christopher) Chepke of Niles, along with their two children Ian and Isabela; three stepchildren, Brian (Joanna) Gilliam of Warren and their expected son Kenneth, who is due in January, Lisa Gilliam of Warren and Tammy Chasser of Niles and her daughter Francesca Cavaliere; one brother Thomas (Judith) Gross of Kinsman; and two sisters, Carol Core of Brooklyn and Phyllis (Stephen) Flask of Champion. He also leaves his niece and nephew, Jessica and Joshua Kistler; great-niece Kasey, whom he was especially close to, as well as several nieces and nephews, and great- nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Ken was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Gross Jr.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
