Harry H. Hutchins 1925-2012

CHAMPION - Harry H. Hutchins, 87, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Hospice House in North Lima.

He was born July 11, 1925, in Youngstown, the son of the late Ward Culver Hutchins and the late Nellie Gambriel Hutchins.

He served during World War II in the Navy.

Harry was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, a Mason at the Old Erie Lodge No. 3 F&AM and a factory worker at ITT Grinell. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and belonged to the Leavittsburg Fish and Game Club. He also liked to bowl, and would do mixed leagues with his wife.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Delora Ford Hutchins of Champion, whom he married Oct. 19, 1944; his children, Troy L. Hutchins of Champion and Regina L. (John) Osborne of Warren; grandchildren, Troy (Melissa) Hutchins II, Trisha (Mark) Cross, Heather Garret and John Osborne; and his great-grandchildren, Tyler and Austin Hutchins and David, Justin and Breanna.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Thelma Nelson, Edith Lewis and Walter Hutchins.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church, where the Rev. Glenn J. Hamilton will officiate. Friends may call from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., and a Masonic service will be held at 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment will be at Champion Township Cemetery, where military honors will be observed.

The family requests that material contributions be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 1725 Drexel Ave. N.W., Warren, OH 44484, in his memory.
