Mary D. Musick 1917-2012

WARREN - Mary D. Musick, 95, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at Gillette Nursing Home in Warren.

She was born Oct. 11, 1917, in Lansford, Pa., the daughter of the late Victor and the late Rose Losonsky Stano.

Mary was raised in Iselin, Pa., before moving to Warren.

She was a devoted homemaker and an active member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Church, where she was instrumental in organizing the church pierogies sales.

Mary was a kind and charitable person who spent the last years of her life crocheting hats, scarves and blankets for the American Cancer Society. She was an avid card player, as well as an exceptional cook and baker.

She was a constant example of strength and courage to her family, and touched the lives of those who knew and cared about her. She will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by three daughters, Maryann (John) Kress of Pittsburgh, Paula (Gregory) Regalia of Hudson and Kris (Hank) Haynam Jr. of Cortland; a son, Thomas Musick of Warren; a sister, Verna Painter of Iselin, Pa.; a brother, Victor Stano Jr. of Warren; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

For 54 years, Mary was married to Frank J. Musick, who passed away on Oct. 1, 1999. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Per her wishes, a private family service was held and a burial was at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, in Warren.
