Obama is the wrong choice

November 1, 2012

DEAR EDITOR:

A friend of mine said that because of Todd Akin and Richard Mourdoch, she could never vote Republican. However, I must say that the Republican Party wanted Akin to drop out of the race, but he wouldn't It's still a free country. As far as Mourdoch's comment, it was not articulate in the least, but hardly a reason not to vote for Romney. Akin and Mourdoch are not running for president.

The contest is between someone we don't know a lot about except that he has spent and wasted trillions of our tax dollars on the green industry and electric car manufacturing. Gov. Romney is a businessman who has nothing to hide. He is intelligent and more importantly, he doesn't need this job and God only knows why he would want it. He will gain NOTHING from being elected as president except a lot of criticism. He has everything he could possibly need or want including what appears to be a wonderful wife and family.

The thing is he truly believes that he can help the United States get out of this mess that President Obama and the Democrats blame Bush for. The truth is that Obama had a Democrat Congress for the first two years of his presidency and could do nothing even with his party in control. He accomplished nothing significant in those two years or the entire four years in office. President Bush had warned about the housing bubble, but Christopher Dodd-D and Barney Frank-D did not heed the warnings.

Obama has done nothing and his foreign policy well, he has none to speak of and look at the cover up re Benghazi. He has misled "we the people" since September 11 concerning Benghazi. He has a string of negatives, but he jumps up on stage at rallies and is good at joking and comes across as charming although I didn't think he was so charming when he used profanity to describe Romney in an interview with Rolling Stone. Is this what we want in a president? With this administrations failed policies, this election should be a landslide for Romney, but because of the uninformed and those who don't understand the dire straits that this country is in, I doubt that a landslide will happen. I hurt for our country, our children and our grandchildren and what it could be like in 2016. Look around you now. It will be much worse in four years if we select the wrong person. By that time, you may not even recognize your own country.
