In the auto bailout the Obama Administration chose to treat union retirees -- even when they no longer had a contract with New GM -- well while non-union retirees lost everything including pensions and health care insurance.
His administration had the right, the ability and the opportunity to be fair and show that he means it when he claims middle-class workers who worked hard and played by the rules deserve a fair shot. Instead he chose to reveal who he really is by discriminating based on association a clear violation of the 1st Amendment.
His original Auto Czar, Steve Rattner, admitted as much recently when he said "We had lots of discussions about whether to top off all of the pensions". Problem is, Rattner worked for Obama and we restrict the kinds of decisions our government can make. Eighty-eight percent of the American work force is non-union, but according to testimony offered by another member of Obama's task force, the non-union workers had no "commercial necessity." I wonder, using that basis for government action, who will Obama target next? Are you non-union?
