Frank D. Craver 1935-2012

ORLANDO, Fla. - Frank Dallas "Bud" Craver, 77, from Warren, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, after an extended illness.

He was born May 19, 1935, in Warren, the son of Ethel and Merle Craver.

He graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1955.

Mr. Craver married Ann Elizabeth Bechtold on March 31, 1956, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Warren. Frank and Ann settled in Orlando, Fla., during the 1960s, where he was employed by Martin Marietta, and they raised two daughters.

After completing his bachelor's degree at Rollins College in Orlando and relocating his family to Copenhagen, Denmark, he continued his career as a brilliant contracts negotiator while living overseas.

He was an avid golfer, a 52-year member of the Old Erie F&AM Masonic Lodge and a member of the Elks Lodge, where he served as chaplain in 1990. He loved country music, entertaining and keeping up with his daughters' successes in their lives.

He is survived by his daughters, Kelly Craver and Stacey Craver, both of Portland, Maine; two granddaughters, Malorie Pease Pastor and Katie Pease, both of Portland, Maine; a great-granddaughter, Luci Margaret Pastor of Portland Maine; and his best "pal" of more than 50 years, James Klinger of Warren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ann, who died in 1991; and his siblings, Russell Craver, Carson (Kitty) Johnson, Florence Green, Harry Craver, Marilyn Guthrie and Walter Craver.

Private services will be held in Hudson, Fla.

Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home of Painesville.
