DOCTORS OFFER CANDY BUYBACK: The office of Drs. Martuccio and Bauer, 8096 E. Market St., Warren, are participating in a Halloween candy buyback event this year. The office will buy Halloween candy from patients and neighborhood children at $1 per pound and send it to U.S. troops overseas as part of Operation Gratitude.
This event takes place 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Goodie bags will be available for all participants, while supplies last. Parents will have an opportunity to enter raffles.
AUXILIARY HOSTS JEWELRY SALE: St. Joseph Health Center Auxiliary is holding a Non-Stop Jewelry Sale beginning 7 a.m. Thursday through 4 p.m. Friday in Lobby B at the hospital.
NON-PROFITS HOST RACES: TNR of Warren and Safe at Last Dog Rescue of Ohio will hold a Night at the Races on Saturday at Knights of Columbus, 1947 E. Market St., Warren. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the first race at 7. Admission is $5 per person. Tickets are available in advance or at the door.
In addition to the races, there will be a huge Chinese Auction, 50/50 raffle, food and alcohol. Attendees must be 21 or older.

FOUNDATION HOSTS AUCTION: The Kayla Irene Daniels Cure for Cancer Foundation will hold its fourth annual Chinese auction at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Parkman Community Center located just east of the Parkman Center on U.S. Route 422. Doors open at 3 p.m.
Among the items up for bid will be more than 200 valued from $30 to $300, and some are valued higher.
