DEAR EDITOR:
During this campaign season, the message from President Obama cannot be any clearer. The president believes in government intervention and control through excessive and costly regulation, spending and taxation. The presidents vision of his nanny state where federal involvement is the answer for all needs beyond a safety net, while nobel, is impossible to attain and insane to try. We have seen more people on the welfare and poverty roles in the last four years.
His economic policies have led to insufficient employment gains, larger number of under employed and unemployed than we could expect under a recovering economy. Stimulus packages didnt create jobs. The result is a slow recovery from this recession compared to others in the last thirty years.
Instead, the president has used this recession as a cover to promote increased domestic spending and more regulation, increasing the debt and continuing large deficits.
To paraphrase the president, his policies did create this (economic stagnation). This is a man who never governed a state or ran a business. He lacks the executive skills to run this country. He has failed to unleash the economic strength of this country as it struggles from this recession. That strength has been buried under government rules and regulations.
The president is asking for four more years. For this countrys sake, four more months is all that he should get.
