CHIROPRACTIC SOCIETY SPONSORS FOOD DRIVE: The Eastern Ohio Chiropractic Society is sponsoring its first holiday food drive, beginning on Thursday and extending through Thanksgiving, to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley. Twelve Mahoning Valley chiropractic practices are working together to collect 5,000 pounds of non-perishable food this holiday season.
EOCS chiropractors are asking their patients to donate five or more non-perishable food items. New patients who donate food during the EOCS holiday drive will receive a complete health history and a detailed chiropractic consultation at no cost. All food will be donated to Second Harvest.
Non-perishable food items such as peanut butter, cereal, canned goods, tuna and dry pasta can be donated at any of these participating EOCS clinics Monday through Friday. Participating locations include:
NILES OFFERS FLU SHOTS: The Niles City Health Department is offering flu shots to anyone age 6 months or older from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the Health Department, 34 W. State St., Niles. No appointment needed. For more information, call 330-544-9000, Ext. 163.
GIRARD OFFERS FLU SHOT: The Girard City Health Department will offer flu vaccines between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursday, by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled by calling the health department at 330-545-6048.
FLU CLINIC TO BE HELD: A flu clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. daily at Warren West Community Health Center, 716 Tod Ave., Warren. Walk-ins are welcome. For more information, call 330-373-0222.
PROGRAM OFFERED FOR DEALING WITH ISSUES: An eight-step Christian program based on the Beatitudes is open to anyone dealing with a life-controlling habit or issue.
