Harvest party planned at Mission

MISSION HOLDS HARVEST PARTY: The Warren Family Mission, 361 Elm Road, will hold a Harvest Party from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday for children up to age 13. The mission will host games, activities, face painting, and serve a light meal. Non-scary costumes are encouraged.

The mission is also collecting candy and small prizes, which can be dropped off at the 361 Elm Road location. Call Michelle at 330-394-5437.

CHURCH HOSTS GOSPEL SKATE: Agape Assembly Church will hold a skate party from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Champion Rollarena, 5040 Mahoning Ave., Warren. Admission is free, and skate rental is $3. There will be games and gospel music.

Assorted candy can be dropped off at the church during any of the services.

CHARACTERS AT GAZEBO: Southington Township will hold a trick-or-treat event for local children from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the gazebo with Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck characters.

CAKE WALK SET IN FALLS: The Newton Falls Kiwanis Club will hold its 87th annual cake walk at 7 p.m. Tuesday at 16 W. Broad St. Festivities begin with the trail of treats and a Halloween parade costume contest. Proceeds from the event will be distributed among those clubs who donate the cakes.

ALUMNI EVENT PLANNED: The Champion Alumni Association is hosting an "All Alumni Event" at 6 p.m. Saturday at DiVieste Banquet Center. Anyone who attended Champion schools is welcome. Cost is $30 per person. Social time is 6 p.m. with dinner at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available from Kay Verch at 330-847-2990.

TRUNK OR TREAT SET: Braceville Christian Church, 4387 Church St. S.W., located near the town hall, will hold its third annual trunk or treat from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Hot chocolate and coffee will be available.

YSU HOSTS TOWN HALL EVENT: The Black Faculty and Staff Association of Youngstown State University will host "It's About You," a town hall meeting, at 6 p.m. today in the Debartolo Hall Auditorium, Room 132, YSU campus. The meeting will feature a panel of representatives from conservative and progressive perspectives, as well as individuals involved and knowledgeable on issues. The event is free.
