MOONEY 3, LaBRAE 0: STRUTHERS - Pat Price had a goal and an assist to pace Mooney in this Division II sectional final.
Goalkeepers Jeremy Billett and Robert Premac each had a save and combined for the shutout for the Cardinals (10-5-1).
Mooney advances to host Salem on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in a district semifinal.
NEWTON FALLS 3, JOHN F. KENNEDY 1: WARREN - Newton Falls scored three goals in the second half to beat Kennedy in a Division III sectional final.
Kennedy took a 1-0 lead heading into the half on Eric Bofenkamp's goal.
Then, Jaden Walton and Cody Peterson had goals 10 minutes apart to take the lead. Walton added another goal with 15 mintues remaining to send the Tigers to to a district semifinal.
Newton Falls plays at the winner of East Palestine-Crestview Tuesday.
Volleyball
LEDGEMONT 3, MINERAL RIDGE 0: KINSMAN - McKenzie Garland had 10 assists and seven points, but Mineral Ridge fell in this Division IV sectional final.
Jessica Fontana led the Redskins with 10 points, three aces and four blocks.
Ledgemont will play Maplewood on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in a district semifinal.
MAPLEWOOD 3, FAIRPORT HARDING 0: KINSMAN - Ryley Urchek led Maplewood with 17 points, eight aces and eight digs in this Division IV sectional final.
Hannah Hites led Fairport with 16 assists and Lauren Bodi added 13 kills.
Maplewood advances to play Ledgemont in a district semifinal, which will be Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
WINDHAM 3, KENNEDY 2: KINSMAN - Windham trailed 2-1, but the Bombers won the next two games to win this Division IV sectional final.
Brittany Knight led Windham with 19 points, eight aces and eight digs. Christina Lyons topped Kennedy with 26 points and 23 digs.
Windham plays Newbury on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. in a district semifinal.
NEWBURY 3, MATHEWS 2: KINSMAN - Mathews won the first two games against Newbury in this Division IV sectional final, but the Knights won three straight games.
Maddy Nicula led the Mustangs with 19 points and Halle Oatridge added 22 digs. Cassie Chambers led Newbury with 14 assists and eight kills.
Newbury plays Windham in a district semifinal Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
