Two new businesses for Warren

WARREN - Two new construction projects in Warren are aimed at providing services for area motorists.

A nearly $500,000 construction project in the parking lot of Ridgeview Plaza, 3454 Youngstown Warren Road, will be a Carquest Auto Parts store once it's complete, according to documents filed in the city's building department.

Carquest Auto Parts is a supplier of replacement products, accessories, supplies and equipment for all makes of automobiles, as well as light and heavy-duty trucks, off-road equipment, buses, recreational vehicles and agricultural equipment. The company headquartered in Raleigh, N.C., also distributes and sells tools, equipment, chemicals and paint.

The project was issued a building permit last month, and construction is under way.

In an unrelated project, also under construction in the parking lot of Warren's Elm Road Plaza, 2109 Elm Road N.E., is a GetGo gas station kiosk, according to the city's building department.

The building permit, issued Oct. 15, lists the project value at $558,711.

GetGo is a convenience store / gas station owned and operated by the Giant Eagle grocery store chain.
