Boys soccer
STOW 1, WARREN G. HARDING 0: STOW - Harding allowed only one goal, but it was all that was needed in this Division I sectional semifinal.
Anderson took a pass from Kolke and beat Harding keeper Charles Wargo to give Stow the margin of victory it needed.
Stow advances to play at Twinsburg on Saturday at 7 p.m. in a sectional final.
KENSTON 2, HOWLAND 1: KENSTON - Cody Davis scored a goal off an assist by Kyle Watson, but Howland fell to Kenston in this Division I sectional semifinal.
Kurt Kuszmaul made seven saves in defeat for the Tigers (6-8-2).
Kenston (10-4-3) will play at Hudson on Saturday at 7 p.m. in a sectional final.
Volleyball
MATHEWS 3, SOUTHINGTON 2: KINSMAN - Sarah Suchanek had 18 points and three aces for Mathews in this Division IV sectional semifinal.
The Mustangs had 2-0 lead in games before Southington rallied to force a Game 5.
Halle Oatridge added 25 digs and three aces for the Mustangs.
Mathews will play either Lowellville or Newbury on Saturday at 2:45 p.m. in a sectional final.
LIBERTY 3, MARLINGTON 1: BOARDMAN - Mackenzie Stanley had 21 points, 12 kills and 13 assists to lead Liberty in Division II sectional final play.
Leah Leshnack had 13 digs and nine points and Mariah Willis added 20 assists for the Leopards (19-5).
Liberty plays Canfield on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in a district semifinal.
CANFIELD 3, WEST BRANCH 0: BOARDMAN - Sabrina Mangapora led Canfield with 20 kills and Rachel Rafoth had 33 digs as Canfield swept West Branch in this Division II sectional final.
Emma Hartshorn added 24 assists in the win for the Cardinals (20-3).
Canfield will play Liberty on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in a district semifinal.
