BURGHILL - Calvin Richard "Rick" Wells, 57, formerly of Hubbard, died Thursday evening, Oct. 11, 2012, at home.
He was born Oct. 28, 1954, in Youngstown, the son of Jesse Calvin and Ida Mae Heckathorne Wells.
Rick was a member of Coalburg United Methodist.
He had served as the police chief for the Hubbard Township Police Department.
He leaves his biological mother, Anna Belle Daye of Mercer, Pa.; his wife, Tammy Lynn Blazak Wells; three daughters, Ashley J. Wells of Burton, Kylie M. Wells and Courtney L. Wells, both at home; a brother, Raymond W. Wells of Hubbard; a sister, Stella A. Kalic Capestro of Grants Pass, Ore.; three half-brothers, Randy Daye of Mercer, Rodney Daye of Mercer and Ryan Daye of Grove City; and two half-sisters, Linda Kellner of Hermitage and Stella Bell of Mercer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a half-brother.
Family and friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Hubbard Union Cemetery.
