Harriett R. King 1919-2012

STRONGSVILLE - Harriett R. ''Pat'' King of Strongsville died Oct. 13, 2012.

She was born in 1919 in Cleveland to Leo and Stella Konczal.

She married Charles H. King in Geneva in 1962. She lived in Warren, then Champion for 37 years, and finally in Strongsville.

Harriett worked at Rockwell International in Ashtabula and Thompson Aircraft in Elyria. She retired from the accounts payable department of Alcan Aluminum Corp. in Warren in 1985.

She was a member of St. Williams Church in Champion for 37 years, where she was a eucharistic minister, and was active in countless other programs. She was a member of St. John Neumann Church in Strongsville for the past seven years.

Survivors include one son, Thomas (Roberta) King of Strongsville; two grandchildren, Adrienne (Adam) Burkholder of Chicago and Jonathan King of Strongsville; one sister, Doris Stevens of Middleton, Wis.; and 10 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles, in 2005; her parents; two brothers, Henry Konczal of Clearwater, Fla., and Robert Konczal of Scarborough, Maine; two sisters, Helen Taylor and Gertrude Johnson, both of Geneva; and one niece, Susan Sowinski of Clearwater, Fla.

There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Oct. 16 at St. John Neumann Church in Strongsville.

Entombment will be at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.
