WARREN - Gregory A. "Trapper" Flowers, 77, died Oct. 11, 2012, at his residence.
He was born April 8, 1935, in Erie, Pa., a son of William Flower and Alice Gregory Flower.
He was very honored that he had the opportunity to work on the construction of the GM Lordstown Plant prior to its opening, and then was hired as one of the first employees to the plant. He worked as an inspector there for 35 years until his retirement.

He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marines having served during the Korean War.
Gregory was a member of Champion Christian Church. He was a member of the UAW Local 1714.
He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fur trapping.
He was always out for a good deal, and spent time going to flea markets and garage sales. He enjoyed going on trips to Las Vegas with his wife for their anniversary as well as with his family, and was an avid lottery player.
But his best quality and what he will be most known for is his selflessness. He always tried to instill his values on his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was always making sure that family and friends were taken care of, even if it meant he sacrificed for himself. It is what he will be most remembered for and what will be missed the most.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Arlene M. Flowers, whom he married Nov. 8, 1958; his children, Daniel (Shirley) Flowers of Strongsville, Timothy (Sue) Flowers of Warren, Jennifer (David) Taylor of Warren, and Shelley Flowers of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers; a sister; and two cousins who were more like brothers to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and an aunt and uncle who raised him as their own.
Private services will be held on Monday, and military honors will be observed. Interment will be in Champion Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material contributions be made to Champion Christian Church, 151 Center St. W., Warren, OH 44481, the American Cancer Society-Mahoning Valley Unit, 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406, or to a charity of one's choice, in his memory.
