AUXILIARY TO MEET: The Trumbull County Firefighters Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Lordstown Fire Station. The event is the Halloween meeting, with those who don't wear a costume paying a fee. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes.

SELF-DEFENSE OFFERED: Ohltown United Methodist Church, 2001 Ohltown Road, Mineral Ridge, will be hosting a woman's self-defense class at 6:03 p.m. Tuesday. The class is taught by tae kwon do instructor Dawn Detz, a certified instructor and school owner. The class is free.

DONATION PLANNED FOR SCHOOL: Youngstown State University Association of Classified Employees will present school supplies to Kirkmere Elementary School on Thursday. ACE will also hold a drawing to select three teachers who will win a large basket of school materials for their classroom.
Over the past five years, ACE selected several area schools to receive a gift of school supplies.
