NILES -- Police were on the lookout for a stolen vehicle that was believed to have had a 3-year-old boy in the back seat when it was taken Thursday night, a 911 supervisor confirmed.
Details were sketchy. However, according to police scanner traffic, someone took the vehicle shortly before 11 p.m. in the Niles area.
Police scanner traffic indicated that officers planned to do a car-by-car, and possibly a house-by-house, search.
Police also indicated they planned to search parking lots in case the thieves realized a child was in the vehicle and decided to "dump it," according to scanner traffic.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
