DEAR EDITOR:
I honestly tuned into the Democratic convention just to hear the lies and misrepresentations of past successes and anticipated progress with four more years in power. That was scary enough, but what I truly got was gut-wrenching exhibition of where the Democratic party has gone beyond my wildest fears.
When the party proposed to amend their platform to include God, I watched as three times in a voice vote more than half the delegates said they wanted God excluded from the platform. What hypocrisy for the moderator to declare that the yeas were the majority, and he did this with a straight face.
I am reminded of Matthew 10:33. These people revoked God directly in public view before millions of God-loving citizens.
If statistics hold true, this showed that 50 percent of the Democrats reject God in their life and 25 percent of the American people hold the same view. I am flabbergasted to think that any Christian or Jew could ever vote for a party that so adamantly stated that God has no part of the American people.
I'm ashamed of our pastors and priests for remaining silent about this fact. I will always love and am prepared to fight and protect this country, but I now detest our government and will work hard to send every incumbent home.
May God continue to bless America, or we are lost.
