WARREN - John Christopher Garner, 40, 1043 Willard St. S.E., Warren, died at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at The Hospice House, following complications from an extended illness.
He was born Oct. 21, 1971, in Warren, the son of John Henry and Carol Ann McKee Garner.
Mr. Garner was a member of Third Christian Disciples of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Kendra Matta Murray Garner of Warren; one son, King Isaiah Murray Garner of Warren; one daughter, Ms. Shamika Hurst of Youngstown; one stepbrother, Damon Williamson of Niles; three grandchildren, and one goddaughter, Ms. SaQuala Monae Jackson, who lived with him.
His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Third Christian Disciples of Christ. Calling hours will be one hour prior to service at church. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at 1043 Willard St. S.E.
Arrangements were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
