How does non-believer know Jesus Christ?

October 10, 2012
Tribune Chronicle | TribToday.com

DEAR EDITOR:

A few weeks ago a letter was printed that said gay marriage was not a sin. The writer, at best, is not educated on how the Bible was written or, at worst, a deceiver. Jesus does not care what my opinion is, or what the realities of the day are.

Sure men wrote the Bible, but by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The writer quoted Keats and Shakespeare, but said that Jesus never said anything about gay marriage because they're not in the "red words."

The devil first got Eve to doubt God's word also. The books of Amos, Luke or Romans are just as inspired as the rest of the Bible.

How does an non-believer come to know and follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior when so-called Christians tell others that only some of the Bible should be followed? Also, the highlighted parts of my Bible deal with my areas of sin, not my neighbor's sin.
