SOUTHINGTON - Mary Louise McCaslin, 87, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at her home.
Mary Louise was born Dec. 2, 1924, in Indiana, Pa., the daughter of John and Florence Jones Barnoff.
She was a member of Central Christian Church in Warren and helped organize its golf and bowling leagues. Mary also was a longtime member of the Chip and Putt Golf League and enjoyed gardening, painting, embroidery, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also famous for her homemade peanut brittle.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, George "Whitey" McCaslin; one daughter, Barbara (Norman) Alessi of Ann Arbor, Mich.; two sons, Richard (Pat) McCaslin of Wellington and Michael (Linda) McCaslin of Southington; and four grandchildren, Jacqueline, Vincent, Matthew and Erin.
Memorial contributions can be made in her name to Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St. Warren, OH 44483.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
