DEAR EDITOR:
As a long time voter I have many questions that I would like to ask our president. The following are just a few:
Why would the administration spearhead UN Resolution 16/18 which prohibits "blasphemous" speech against Muslims and yet try to force Catholic and other Christian institutions to forgo the tenets of their faith to pay for birth control including sterilization and the morning after pill?
Why would your administration allow thousands of untraceable guns to be walked across the border into Mexico and delivered into the hands of criminal drug cartel members and yet our border patrol agents are armed with only bean bag bullets to defend our borders against these very same criminals?
Why did your administration allow voter intimidation by the New Black Panthers, dressed in combat gear, armed with clubs and caught on video outside a Georgia polling place to go unpunished and yet allow states to be sued for requiring a simple ID to vote?
Why on one of the most significant days in our recent history, 9/11, did they fail to provide even the most basic protection for all our embassies in the Middle East, but your first instinct when these embassies were attacked is to trash our Freedom of Speech rights and apologize to the perpetrators?
How, as the administration claims, can an obscure movie trailer be the complete cause of the recent Middle East uprisings, and yet the Hollywood movie about killing bin Laden, set to be released in December, with the full backing of the White House, not have the same results? Do they honestly believe that the people of Pakistan and those shouting in Cairo, "we have a 1,000 bin Ladens" will somehow just smile and say "oh well, those darn Americans?''
Why would the administration think it's OK to destroy 20,000 hard-working nonunion men and women's pensions yet it's perfectly fine to prop up the unions ... is this the administration's definition of "sharing the wealth"?
Why after clearly violating the Hatch Act three times have they not fired Kathleen Sibelius and yet they want me to trust her with my health care decisions over the opinion of my doctor?
Why was it more important for the president to hang out in Vegas, while American flags were burning and black Islamist flags flew over our embassies?
Why is it that Obama thinks a good speech can replace the actual hard work of governing?
How is creating or saving 4 million jobs considered above average in terms of accomplishments when there are 23 million everyday citizens standing in the unemployment line? And by the way how do they actually count a saved job?
Why do they want me to believe Bain Capital is evil while the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio has entrusted $767.3 million to Bain to invest for their pensions?
All of us deserve some answers.
