WARREN - Thomas M. Pappas Sr., 70, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 28, 1942, in Warren, the son of John M. and Jean Pyne Pappas, and had lived in Trumbull County all his life.
Mr. Pappas had worked as a truck driver for Toys"R"Us for more than 25 years.

He enjoyed airplanes and car shows, his grandchildren, flower garden and dog, and keeping time.
Surviving are his parents, John and Jean Pappas of Warren; two children, Thomas M. (Denese) Pappas Jr. of Kinsman and Nicole K. (Mike) Cassidy of Lordstown; five grandchildren, Jon Lengel, Alicia and Jessica Pappas, and Kaitlynne and Michael Cassidy II; three great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Zabella Lengel, and Sophia Dye; a sister, Susie "Jean" Phillips of Howland; and two brothers, Jack of Fowler and Lee (Joan) Pappas of Mecca.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Marilyn K. (Sable) Pappas, whom he married July 18, 1986, and who died April 17, 2007; and a sister, Patricia Meeker.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McFarland and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Crawford of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cortland officiating. Interment will follow in All Souls Cemetery.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
