LEAVITTSBURG - James L. Henry, 48, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at his residence with his family by his side.
He was born Aug. 31, 1964, in Warren, the son of the late James O. Henry Sr. and the late Virginia I. Peterson.
He was self-employed and did pick-up work most of his life.

He was a family man who took care of his eldest son and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and watching NASCAR. He was an avid Steelers fan.
He is survived by his children, Diana Henry of Leavittsburg, Jamesa (Andrew) Brooks of North Olmsted, Suzanne Henry of Warren, James L. Henry Jr. of Leavittsburg, Justin Henry of Leavittsburg and Jake Henry of Leavittsburg; a stepson, Jeffery (Jessica) Reider of Niles; sisters, Sarah (Roland) Manes of Champion, Hazel "Sis" Crowder of Mecca and Patti (Ralph) Greathouse of Leavittsburg; a half-sister, Sarah (Don) Iverson of New Mexico; and his grandchildren, Kali Kacir, Andriana Brooks, Jeramiah Henry-Poulson, and Hunter, Aiden, Jordan, Lexi, Riley and Landon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James O. Henry Jr.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Pine Knoll Cemetery in Warren Township. A celebration of James' life will follow.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to John Airgood Jr. for helping to care for James in his time of need.
