RICHLAND, Wash. - Tammie J. Peterson Baxter, 52, formerly of Cortland, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at her residence following a battle with brain cancer.
She was born Aug. 4, 1960, in Madison, the daughter of Mary Gius and Richard Peterson Sr.
Tammie worked in the kitchen at Kadlec Regional Center.
Survivors include her parents; stepmother, Kathleen of Leavittsburg; a son, Levi Baxter at home; longtime companion, Larry Eynon; two sisters, Sandy Wolcott of Warren and Carla Peterson of Richland, Wash.; a brother, Richard Peterson Jr. of Burbank, Wash.; a half-sister, Jennica Peterson of Ohio; a half-brother, Jestion Peterson of Warren; a stepsister, Debbie Jackson; two stepbrothers, David and Mart Rowlett; and two stepfathers, Sam Rowlett and Dan Gius.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney E. Baxter.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Keith and Keith Funeral Home in Yakima, Wash.
