VERNON - Lyda Irene Dagres, 53, passed away Sunday morning, Sept. 30, 2012, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
She was born April 21, 1959, in Sharon, Pa., the daughter of Leo and Marilyn Monter Parola Jr.
Lyda had worked for Woodcraft Industries in Reynolds, Pa., for three years as a laborer. She had previously been a waitress for the Brass Lantern in Transfer, Pa., and Denny's in Hermitage, Pa.

She belonged to First Church of God in Greenville, Pa., where she was a member of the women's Bible study.
Her hobbies were sewing, gardening, doing crafts and riding her trike motorcycle.
Lyda is survived by her husband, Joseph Dagres, whom she married July 24, 1982; a daughter, Michele Dagres of Kinsman; two sons, Gary Dagres of Cincinnati and Josh Dagres of Kinsman; two stepsons, Joseph Dagres Jr. of West Middlesex, Pa., and James Dagres of Baltimore; her mother, Marilyn Parola of Hermitage; four sisters, Patty Parola of Canton, Marie Johnson of Hermitage, Cheryl Parola of Farrell, Pa. and Carol Parola of Hermitage; three brothers, Paul Parola of Tampa, Fla., Leo Parola of Greenville and Edward Parola of Transfer; and her beloved puppy, Max.
She was preceded in death by her father and a stepson, Michael Dagres.
Friends and relatives may call at Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 state Route 7, Hartford, from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Gary Bates of First Church of God of Greenville will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, Lyda asks that everyone get a hummingbird feeder or a windchime for themselves in remembrance of her and in praise of God.
