NELSON - Judy A. Collins, 71, passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, on the family farm where four generations have lived, her family by her side.
She was born June 8, 1941, in Warren, the daughter of Russell George and Iva Pearl Hoffaker Kuntz.
Mrs. Collins has lived in Nelson since 1962, and formerly lived in Newton Falls.
She married her loving husband, Austin I. Collins, on Aug. 4, 1962, and he passed away on Feb. 16, 2004, also at the family farm.
When Judy was young, she worked at Ohio Lamp for several years, then at Pikes Turkey Farm five years and then at Stone Wall Veterinary Hospital in Garrettsville.
Judy loved to garden, cook, can and crochet. But most of all she loved her grandchildren.
Memories of Mrs. Collins will be carried on by her daughter and her husband Sherry (Tom) Wise of Nelson; her sons and their wives, Ray (Annette) and Brian (Sandra), all of Nelson; a grandson, Austin Wise; and a granddaughter, Stacy Collins. She also leaves behind her faithful dog and companion, Bear.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Austin; her parents; and a daughter.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Burial will be at Harrington Cemetery in Nelson.
