Bring animals to be blessed

CELEBRATING THE ANIMALS: Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic St., Warren, will hold a pet celebration from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, with a blessing of the animals at 5 p.m. in the garden. There will be pony rides, petting zoo, pet contests and pet health and wellness discussion with Dr. Rufus Sparks at 4:15 p.m.

Admission is free. Children's activities, agility / obedience demonstrations, pet photos and snacks will be available. In case of rain, the event will be moved inside to the parish hall.

HOME HARVEST SHOW THIS WEEKEND: The Home Builders and Remodelers Association of the Valley is hosting its annual home and harvest show at noon today, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The event will feature a variety of HBA certified contractors showcasing the newest trends in home improvements, remodeling and decorating. Admission is free.

TOURS OF THE PARK: Family tours of Mill Creek Metroparks Farm will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays through Oct. 28. There will be wagon rides, pumpkin patch activities and children's programs.

FRIENDS CELEBRATE WITH BASH: The Friends of Mosquito Lake are celebrating the fall with a Halloween Bash this weekend with a haunted trail open to the public from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at $3 per person.

AUTUMN FESTIVAL SET: Windsor House, 200 E. Glendola Ave., is holding its ninth annual Autumn Fest from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and will include a Chinese auction, children's games, bounce house and food.

CHURCH SETS AUCTION: St. Michael's Church, Ridge Road, Newton Falls, will hold a Chinese auction at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Bids at 7 p.m. Donation is $6 per player.The event will include a 50-50 raffle. Call Sue at 330-872-1712.

HARVEST EVENT FOR FALL: The Sisters of the Humility of Mary will hold the 13th annual Harvest Day Celebration from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 6 and 7. The event includes hayrides, pumpkin painting, face painting, nature trail walks, demonstrations, bake sale.

This year's entertainment features Rising Regina and The Weathered Road. Admission and parking are free. One Voice Gospel Choir will sing at 4 p.m. Oct. 6. Call 724-964-8920, Ext. 3331.

FUN DAY PLANNED AT PARK: An ''Awesome-town'' Community Fun Day will be held Oct. 6 at Emmanuel Church on Kirk Road. Spaces are available at $25 each for participants. Checks can be made payable to the "Awesome-town Fall Festival" account at the Farmers National Bank and mailed to Austintown Senior Center, Gloria Habib, 130 Westchester Road, Austintown, 44515.

LIBRARY HOLDS LEGOS EVENT: The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library will hold LegoMania from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday for children ages 5 to 12. Children can build items with a collection of popular Legos building blocks.

ALPACAS FEATURED FOR FARM DAY: The National Alpaca Farm Days will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with the public able to meet the alpacas of RHL Farms, 6861 Girdle Road, West Farmington. For information, call 330-889-2208.
