CHAMPION - Dolores Betty "DeeDee" Bender, 78, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at her residence.
She was born March 22, 1934, in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of Michael and Helen Zombar Kosto Wajnarski.
Dolores had worked at Hill's Department Store in Champion and was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Church in Warren.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Smith of Champion; two sons, Thomas Bender of Louisiana and Joseph Bender of Naples, Fla.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Valentine Bender; a son, David Bender; and a sister.
Per Dolores' wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements are being handled by Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren.
